Having finished the Lopi I was raring to start my next project, which I had decided would be Amy Herzog's Telluride Aran, a lovely cabled concoction from probably my favourite issue of Interweave ever. I pulled out the lovely cream, sheepy goodness I had set aside for the project and started swatching last Saturday.
Alas, it was not to be. In spite of the pattern calling for worsted and this yarn apparently being worsted, the yarn was not a good match and I couldn't get gauge. Much gnashing of teeth occurred.
Luckily I have some beautiful yarn in my stash and so I got straight on with this -
It is the top-down v-neck from Custom Knits - Pink, by Wendy Bernard. The yarn is Madelintosh DK in Cloud/Surf, a limited edition colourway I picked up at Jimmy Beans in 2013. Since I am now planning my next trip to Jimmy Beans, I thought it was high time I knitted something up that I bought there last time (#shameface). The turquoise is going to form a barber pole stripe around the sweater as I knit down, I think...I hope it doesn't look too odd against the more eclectic pooling at the top.
After casting on I realised I knit Pink before. Then, after knitting a couple of inches, I realised I had knitted it in these colours. Oh well. That was Alpaca, so this will be totally different, obvs.
