Weekword: Present

John picked this week's word. It makes me think of brightly wrapped boxes with ribbons tied around them in a very old fashioned way. It has also made me think of this song, which I have been listening to all week. Work is a grind and I am a bit fed up with it (again) and in need of a break (again) but this song reminds me that you have to take the rough with the smooth and enjoy the present, and be grateful for the little presents that arrive in your life, whether brightly wrapped or otherwise.

I played this to my classes today at the end of the lessons because it was absolutely pouring. It was totally lost on them, unfortunately!
